Will it scratch my paint?
Not when used correctly. Always spray plenty of lubricant (clay lube or a soapy-water mix) and glide with light pressure — the lube lets the towel float over the surface and lift contaminants safely, without marring.
What's the difference vs a normal clay bar?
A towel covers far more surface per pass and is easy to grip — and unlike a clay bar, it isn't ruined the second you drop it on the ground. Just rinse it off and reuse it hundreds of times.
How often should I use it?
Whenever your paint feels rough, or before waxing or sealing — usually every 3–6 months. Run your hand over the paint after washing; if it doesn't feel smooth, it's time to clay.
What surfaces can I use it on?
